Awareness meeting with Police

Dear Residents,

We have conducted a awareness meeting session on 15th Dec 2012 (evening 5~ 6:30 PM)  at our 7th Street by our Inspector of police (Maangadu) Mr. Athimoolam.
More than 100 of our residents were participated and it was very useful for our residents to protect themselves from crimes. The session was very interactive too.
 
We thank Mr. Athimoolam (Inspector of Police) for his valuable time on spending with us.

Activities Update...

Our damaged roads at Mainroad / 4th Street / 1st street were rectified by the corporation officials after long follow-up by our President...

During Neelam Cyclone...

* During recent Neelam Cyclone and storm .. We have cleared the destroyed trees in our streets with the help of Corporation officials.

* Our President met  our area Counselor and corporation officials for our better Roads in our streets and to do regular garbage collection promptly. They have assured to lay the new roads in few months and assured to do regular garbage collection without any issues.

* We regularly replacing/resolving the faulty street lights in our streets. You can contact our Prisident if you find any faulty street-lights along with the Poll numbers.

* All the residents are requested to pay their annual subscription fee Rs. 500/- for this year cycle ( Aug 2012 to Aug 2013). You can contact your nearest committee members or our president to pay the fee. Thanks....

Activities Update....

* As we register complaint on Dog Menace, the corporation officials came to our Nagar and catch nearly 20 numbers of Dogs ( But still many of the dogs escaped !) . Thanks to the Corporation Officials for their immediate action on this.

* Snack Menace @1st/ 2nd Streets. :  Plot which had huge bushes where the lots of snacks lived, has been cleaned and removed by Owner of the plot as the request of our association & corporation officials.

* As we registered regarding Road issues, corporation officials have corrected the Roads using JCP and filled some patches with rubbishes. Removed bushes and cleared the road from Mada-nagar.
Also, corporation officials confirmed that our Roads will be laid properly in few months.

* Street lights issues have been resolved at 9th ,9th Cross, 11th, 2nd Streets. (Around 16 lights have been rectified ). Thanks to the corporation officials for their immediat action on this.

* Newly printed - Flex Board:  Layout Map & Updated Contact Information Sheet  has been fixed in the Main Road .

We have registered a complaint for Dog & Snake Menaces in our streets. and we are following up with the corporation offcials.

Street Name boards....

We have painted and written street names on the walls in our nagar and covered all the streets in 20 places apart from street concrete boards. Now it is visible and clear for anyone to find the street names easily.

Free Medical Camp by Dr. Thirumoorthy on Sunday (3rd June 2012)

We have conducted the Free Medical Camp on 3rd June 2012 (Sunday) and many of our nagar residents have utilized this opportunity.

We are thanking  Dr. G Thirumoorthy for providing this free-medical camp to our nagar residents.
We thank our association president Mr. Balthazar for his continuous effort on making this program success and we thank our committee members - Mr. Ramasamy (Secretory ), Mr. Thiyagarajan & Mr Gopu for their support during this Medical Camp.

Park - Renovation

We have renovated Four Swings at Park-1 with new Chains and new Seats. And repainted them.
All four Swings are in usable condition now.

And We have renovated/repainted the See-saws also and  made them usable for Kids.
(New Seats have been fixed and repainted)

We are requesting our Nagar residents to utilize them for their Kids. (below 12 years)

We are thanking our Association President - Mr. Balthazar for his continuous efforts to complete these tasks.

We thank  Mr.Krishnan and Mr.Vijaya anand from Natraj nagar having business in the name of Porur Timber Traders and Sri Krishna Industries at Porur for contributing the wooden seats for Swings and see-saw.

New Garbage Dust-bins

On 23/05/2011:  We have removed the Concrete Garbage dust-pins a (located in the 2nd/1st STREET Park) and instead of it, new metal dust pin has been kept in the beginning of the 1street.

* We have recently made THREE Shuttle cock courts at our 2nd Street Play ground.

Meeting with Chennai Mayor Saidai Duraisamy

18-Feb-2012: We have met  Chennai Mayor Mr. Saidai Duraisamy at his house, explained our AV Nagar1 issues and important basic needs to him. He listened carefully our issues and confirmed us that he will take action on our issues. We have given him an application also (as given below scanned copy) on the same.

Awareness Meeting - by Assistant commissioner - Mr. Murugesan

Assistant commissioner - Mr. Murugesan - Awareness Meeting with our Residents held on 22nd Jan 2012, Sunday at 11:00 AM.

The interactive awareness session by the ACP- Mr. Murugesan was very useful for the residents. It will help us to prevent crimes by ourselves. Around hundred plus residents were participated and helped to made this event successful.
We will have similar periodical sessions in future.
